I know Christmas has past, but I thought I’d share some Elf ideas anyway.

We started the Elf on the Shelf a few years ago.  It has been a lot of fun.  Here are some pics of our favorite places our elf has shown up.  I’ve decided I didn’t really want a naughty elf, so he’s mostly harmless and funny.  He did go over-the-top once when he re-parked my van in the driveway, and maybe when I woke up with an eyeliner mustache.  After that, he got less naughty.  :) My kids LOVE to find him in the morning.  They aren’t allowed to touch him or move him, which helps the mess stay less messy too.  We named our elf: Buddy.  He shows up the day after Thanksgiving and is in a different spot every morning.  We don’t focus on Santa much or that the elf travels to the North Pole to report to Santa on how the kids are doing.  In fact, we try to leave Santa out of the holidays as much as we can.  This is just an elf that hangs out at our house in December.
