This is one of my family’s favorite breakfasts.
½ cup flour
½ cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tbs margarine
Melt 3 Tbs margarine in a 9 x 13″ pan in the oven at 350 degrees. When butter is melted and bubbling, pour batter in pan and bake 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve with berries or syrup and powdered sugar.
Place vegetables and broth in saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and cook until vegetables are tender~8 minutes. Mix milk, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and thyme; add to cooked vegetables. Cook, stirring constantly, until soup is slightly thickened and mixture just begins to boil . Remove from heat. Add cheese and stir until melted. Makes 4 one cup servings.
